StudentPulse’s 2024 wrapped

At StudentPulse, we’ve had some pretty big milestones ourselves. But before we dive into the holiday season and swap student insights for eggnog and carols, let’s take a look at some of the highlights that made 2024 unforgettable for us.

StudentPulse is now launched in 15 countries

This year, we said Bonjour! to France, Hallo! to Germany, Ahlan! to the United Arab Emirates, and Haia! To Wales-bringing StudentPulse to 15 countries (and counting!).  We’ve also continued growing in familiar places like Norway, England, and Denmark, welcoming new clients along the way.

Launching in market after market isn’t a one-size-fits-all process (or an easy one at that), and it’s something that we’re constantly learning about and rethinking. Each country and institution has its own story, its own culture, and its own approach to building world-class student experiences.

We’ve launched our Advisory board

As of 2024, we’re thrilled to share that StudentPulse partnered with Dr. Xiangyun Du,  and Dr. Jennifer Laffier, two experts in mental health, education, and research, who now form our Advisory board.

We teamed up with Teams

A brand-new integration to make your life easier. Don’t say we don’t treat you…When a customer told us that distributing check-ins manually (think QR codes and posters around campus) was too time-consuming, we knew we could do better. That’s why we introduced the StudentPulse x Teams bot integration.

Now, instead of juggling QR codes, your staff can focus on what really matters. Our Teams bot handles all check-in distribution seamlessly, notifying students about new check-ins and reminding them to complete-all in the Teams chats they’re already using every day.

We won the Erasmus+ grant

We couldn’t be more excited to wrap up 2024 with a win that means so much to us-a major two-year project backed by the Erasmus+ program. The BelongVET project, created in collaboration with an incredible group of international partners, is all about fostering inclusivity and a sense of belonging for vocational education students across Europe.

This milestone reminds us why we’re here: to drive meaningful change in education. With BelongVET, we’re putting innovation into action, and we can’t wait to see the impact this project will create by the time it concludes in 2026.

We made turning data into action (even) easier

Helping institutions collect actionable data is our bread and butter. But we do way more than that. This year saw the creation of two of our favourite time-saving AI-powered features currently in Beta. Action Plan and Risk Detector-a simple way to turn data into steps you can take and a tool to identify at-risk students.

Action Plan is the automatic action recommender that’s made analyzing data a whole lot easier. It doesn’t just summarize feedback-it transforms it into clear, personalized recommendations tailored to your role. Whether you’re leading a wellbeing team or managing quality initiatives, it pinpoints the trends that matter most, from areas needing improvement to what’s already working well, so there’s no need to dig around figuring out what to do next. With actionable steps based on student comments and scores, it’s like having a roadmap to meaningful change. Say goodbye to hours of analysis and hello to more time for action.

Risk Detector acts like a safety net, analyzing every comment in real time to detect signs of students who might be at risk-all while maintaining their anonymity. So what happens when student feedback signals that they might need help? Designed to simplify your workflow and amplify your impact, Risk Detector identifies critical patterns in the data that indicate potential well-being concerns. It ensures interventions are triggered immediately, so at-risk students receive the support they need, right when they need it. For educators, this means peace of mind knowing that no student slips through the cracks-even if feedback is reviewed weeks later.

We brought new insights to educational leaders

This year, we once again took the stage at the Westminster Insight Mental Health Conference to show how real-time data can make a difference in student well-being and engagement. It was inspiring to connect with so many forward-thinking educators and share ideas that drive real change.

But we didn’t stop there. Through webinars and newsletters, we’ve been growing a community of leaders who care deeply about improving education. Whether it’s diving into data or swapping ideas for better student experiences, these moments of connection remind us why we do what we do.

We collected more than 800,000 data points, supported over 10,000 students, and assisted in more than 3,000 courses and programs

We couldn’t not celebrate this milestone. What a way to end the year.

Together, we’ve transformed student feedback into actionable insights that make a real difference. Have a look:

We supported 10k+ students

We matched over 15,000 students with relevant support. And out of these, more than 5,000 received personalized 1:1 support, while another 5,000 made use of self-help resources.

Our check-ins had 90% completion rate


9 out of 10 students who started a StudentPulse check-in also completed it. A student-centric approach really is everything when it comes to building engaging surveys. And while there’s no one-size-fits-all approach, here’s what we’ve learned:

• Live Collect or sharing “in class” has proven to be the most effective distribution method, significantly increasing completion rates. You can go as high as 13 questions before completion rates drop, with an average participation rate of 73% out of all enrolled students.
• When it comes to survey design, it’s not just about how many questions you ask-it’s also how easy they are to answer, so keep it simple and concise.

You checked in on your students 2,250 times


This year, we engaged over 80,000 students and collected over 800,000 data points. And the best part? Every single one of those has been turned into action, shaping better student experiences and smarter institutional strategies.
