"Health and life skills" in Norwegian schools

StudentPulse Team
December 9, 2022

In Norway, the interdisciplinary theme Public Health and Life Skills was introduced in the new primary and secondary education in 2020. This interdisciplinary theme aims to provide an understanding of how life can be lived healthy and enhance students' emotional, social, and academic coping skills. It's a huge step forward that health and well-being are integrated into the education system and that the school environment plays an essential part in shaping children's health and well-being.

We are more than excited to announce our partnership with Ginntech, a Norwegian technology company specializing in education. Also, we will start the first StudentPulse implementation with Ginntech at a larger Norwegian school to showcase what micro-surveys can do to improve learning and well-being.

As Norway develops, we'll keep an eye on it and share what we learn with students and educators worldwide in the coming years! We can bring a global perspective to the future of well-being in schools because of our rich data set and the unique ability to benchmark student well-being against all countries in real-time.

To read more about the learnings from the "Youth mental health in schools," we recommend seeing this webinar. Also, to follow the work of Siri Hausland Folstad, PhD candidate, and Maud Edvoll, PhD candidate, Department of Psychology, University of Oslo, Norway.
